I just came across another great exercise to relieve acute lower back pain. This exercise has very little movement which makes it ideal for people who have considerable back pain. As with all back pain exercises it is recommended to keep doing them even after the pain is gone.

What is a Herniated Disk and Can it Be Prevented?

Many people have been diagnosed with a herniated disk, but most have no idea of exactly what it is. Basically, the spine is comprised of the spinal column, which is protected by the vertebrae. These vertebrae have disks between them that could be compared to a sponge. In a sense, they act as shock absorbers.
